I started as a partner in QPMC in 2011. I wanted to work at QPMC as I like the personal list system. It allows us to get to know our patients and their extended families really well, allowing for a better understanding of patients as individuals and allows a holistic approach, which I feel benefits patients.
I am lead for Respiratory and was lead for Medical Students taking active part in teaching across the board at QPMC. I enjoy teaching and firmly believe that a good education gives a strong foundation. Here at QPMC, we have a strong involvement in teaching Medical Students across all years, Registrars and Foundation Year doctors. Outside of QPMC, I have been involved in exams for 3rd and 5th year medical students. I also have a strong interest in all things skin and have a diploma in dermatology.
I recently reduced my hours to work part time and when not at work, I enjoy reading a variety of books and poetry, going on walks, antique hunting, carpets, decorating, plants, more recently making pottery and keeping rabbits out of my garden! I travel a lot and along with my husband, we are involved in a number of charity works.
Working pattern: Thursday, Friday
