Travel health

We do not offer specific travel clinics for patients travelling abroad, however we continue to provide vaccinations which are available free on the NHS.

The following travel vaccinations are usually available free on the NHS:

  • diphtheria, polio and tetanus (combined booster)
  • typhoid
  • hepatitis A – including when combined with typhoid or hepatitis B

These vaccines are usually free because they protect against diseases thought to represent the greatest risk to public health if they were brought into the country.

For further advice on which vaccinations you may require please visit the NHS Website or Staying Safe on Holiday website

More information on vaccines for individual countries can be found HERE

Before booking an appointment please ensure you are aware which vaccinations you require and if possible bring a print out along with you to your appointment.

Private travel vaccinations

We do not provide the following vaccinations and you will be required to go to a specialist travel clinic and pay for these vaccinations:

  • hepatitis B when not combined with hepatitis A
  • Japanese encephalitis and tick-borne encephalitis
  • meningitis vaccines
  • rabies
  • tuberculosis (TB)
  • yellow fever
