New wellbeing hub opens for Stockton-on-Tees residents

People in Stockton-on-Tees needing advice and support for their wellbeing can now benefit from a new Wellbeing Hub, based in Wellington Square.

The Hub brings together a range of expertise and organisations under one roof, making it easier for people to access local help and support for a wide range of issues that can impact their mental health and general wellbeing.

Anyone can drop in and speak to a member of trained staff, who’ll listen to their needs and provide support, advice and guidance. People can also take part in a wide range of activities that are on offer.

Whether someone’s looking for housing, employment or money advice, or they’re feeling isolated, lonely or need mental health support, the Stockton Wellbeing Hub is there Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, to provide quick and timely support.

A number of organisations are working into the hub including Stockton Advice and Information Service, who provide free, confidential and impartial advice on a wide range of issues; and Change Grow Live, a national health and social care charity, who help people with challenges including drugs and alcohol, housing, justice, health and wellbeing.

Impact on Teesside, who provide support and services to those struggling with depression, stress, anxiety, and other mental and emotional issues, are also working into the Hub, along with representatives from Tees, Esk and Wear Vallleys NHS Foundation Trust, local mental health and learning disability services provider, and Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council adult mental health social care staff.
